Because the hydrogen atoms in sodium borohydride are more electronegative than Boron, you can just say that this is really a Hydride ion or a hydrogen with a negative charge, because this is how the reagent reacts. As you should know, the carbonyl carbon has a slightly positivie charge, so this is where the hydride ion will attack. When the hydride ion makes a bond to the carbonly carbon, 2 of the electrons in the carbonyl double bond are pushed up to the oxygen giving it a negative charge. Treating this solution now with an acid will protonate the negative oxygen giving you an alcohol. The final product will be toluene with methyl alcohol attached in the para positon.
